Is Geaux Deaux Cookie Dough safe to eat?
Yes it is! We do NOT use eggs in our recipe, and we also use heat treated flour, providing the necessary kill step for any microbiological bacteria that can show up in raw flour.
How do I store the Deaux?
We recommend storing it in the fridge for up to 3 weeks. If you do not think you will be able to consume it all before then (which rarely happens for us), stick it in the freezer for up to 3 months.
How am I supposed to eat the Deaux?
After taking it out of the refrigerator, you can eat it right out of the container. You can thaw it at room temperature for up to 30 minutes for a softer treat. Or you can defrost it in the microwave for a tummy-warming dessert.
Can I bake the Deaux and make cookies?
Unfortunately, at this time, you cannot bake them to make cookies. You can bake them for a warm treat, but they will not look or rise like cookies do. We do recommend microwaving them for 10-15 seconds if you want a gooey, delicious treat!
Can I travel with my Deaux?
Yes you can! We recommend travelling no more than four hours at room temperature. If you take it out of the refrigerator, then keep it in an insulated bag with an ice pack. If you are traveling more than 12 hours, then freeze the dough beforehand and keep it in an insulated bag with an ice pack.
What other desserts do you offer?
At this time, we offer normal flavors of cookie dough. But stay updated on the website and social media for more products coming soon!
Products and Health Concerns
Do your products contain nuts?
Our products with nuts will tell you so in their description (Wedding Cake & Peanut Butter Cup). If you have a severe allergy, be aware that we do handle nuts in the kitchen.
Do you offer vegan or gluten-free options?
Not at the moment... But be on the look out, we are always experimenting with new recipes.
Do you deliver your Deaux?
We will be setting up our deliveries soon with FedEx using cold shipping containers. That way it will arrive to your door still chilled. We were doing personal deliveries, but it was too difficult to handle. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Can we pick up the Deaux from a hub or other location?
If you do not want the Deaux delivered through FedEx, you can pick up orders from the Hammond Farmers' Market on Saturday 8am-12pm or Abita Springs Farmers' Market on Sunday 12pm-4pm. Please send us a message with the flavors and amounts you would like, and you can pick it up during these hours.
